ET / CAT-OM Testing Solutions
In Electrical Test we have Flying Probes and a Grid Tester that checks the electrical integrity of each and every board for continuity. The flying probes are an automated system that controls test probes that maneuver (fly) around a PCB to contact test points on both the top and the bottom of the board. This does not require a test fixture because the probes themselves are moving to the specified test point(net) locations. These testers also have the capability to do Latent, Kelvin, and Hipot tests. We utilize Vitrek high voltage units for Hipot testing as well.
The CAT-OM tester monitors resistance of IPC “D” coupons while temperature cycling. Any change in resistance that exceeds 5% is flagged by the tester. This helps ensure that our boards can withstand the stress of components being soldered on and functioning at higher temperatures, minimizing latent defects. GreenSource routinely tests “D” coupons well in excess of the IPC standard of six(6) thermal cycles.
