Manufacturing Technician – General Manufacturing – All Areas

Summary:

The Manufacturing Technician is responsible for all aspects of their department requirements including quality checks, preventative maintenance and minor repairs.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Operate all department equipment, quality checks, and preventative maintenance.
  • Follow production guidelines and specifications.
  • Follow health and safety standards.
  • Maintain a clean workspace and production floor.
  • When applicable, create or download job programs to run jobs on machines.
  • Read and interpret travelers to verify that all previous operations were completed and to verify quantity.
  • Be a team player and must work well with others.
  • Able to work 8 hour shifts plus overtime when needed.
  • Able to lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Able to bend, lean, sit and/or stand for entire shift.
  • Able to cross train in other departments.
  • Regular attendance is an essential job function of this position.

Required Education:
  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent, Vocational Training preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of manufacturing work experience
  • Must have hands-on / mechanical aptitude / trade (e.g. farming, construction, auto repair, machining, woodworking, etc.)
All Employees Shall:
  • Perform all duties in a timely fashion to support production needs.
  • Follow all procedures and work instructions.
  • Elevate any compliance or maintenance issues
  • Comply with the EH&S Policy and applicable regulatory and company EH&S rules and requirements.
  • Report to supervision conditions or practices that are either unsafe or that may adversely impact the environment, to ensure prompt resolution of potential hazards.
  • Attend scheduled EH&S training program.
  • Actively support the organization’s efforts to meet or exceed EH&S goals and plans.
  • Recommend improved EH&S practices.

The incumbent is responsible for complying with the policies in Greensource Fabrication’s “Employee Handbook”.
